  • Full-time 40 hour work week
  • Direct Hire opportunity 
  • Paying $14.50-$16.50 hourly
  • This is located in  Berkeley  California
  • MUST HAVE BANKING EXPERIENCE

SUMMARY

Serves as a liaison between the credit union and the Member by providing prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.  Performs a wide range of transnational duties to serve members with high accuracy.  Provides a variety of member’ s savings, checking and loan transactions within authority level and according to credit union policies and procedures.  Proactively participates in the cross selling of credit union products and services. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous and professional manner, adhering to the company’ s Six-Star Guarantee, Core Values and Quality Service Basics
  • Processes cash and check deposit in accordance to credit union policies and procedures.
  • Processes withdrawal requests in accordance to credit union policies and procedures.
  • Posts loan payments and general ledger transactions.
  • Answers the telephone, directs calls to the appropriate person and/or takes messages and quotes current company’ s savings rates and terms.
  • Supports sales efforts of credit union, generates referrals of credit union products and services and opens new accounts at the teller window as appropriate.
  • Provides an unbeatable service experience and adheres to the credit union’ s quality service standards.
  • Processes member telephone transfers, check requests, mail, email, night drop and quick drop transactions.
  • Assists with verifications and audits as needed.
  • Performs file maintenance as requested.
  • Balances cash drawer in required time frame.
  • Solves member inquiries and/or complaints.
  • Works efficiently with team members to reach branch goals and maintain branch profitability.
  • Remains up-to-date and knowledgeable on credit union products, services, and related policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one or more year’ s related experience with a financial institution to include customer sales and service skills
  • Cash handling experience 
  • Customer service experience 
  • Banking/Credit Union experience required
