Accountant with Insurance experience
Job Description
- HOURS: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKPLACE: On-site
- PAY: Hourly pay depends on experience, $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Duties can include but are not limited to:
- Manage Accounts Receivable, including invoicing, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Payable, including vendor invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Calculate, reconcile, and process producer and broker commissions.
- Reconcile carrier statements, premium payables, and trust accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reports.
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist with budgeting, audits, tax reporting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with agency accounting procedures and insurance industry regulations.
- Collaborate with agency staff, carriers, vendors, and producers to resolve accounting issues.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of EPIC – intermediate to advanced level.
- The qualified candidate must have recent experience working as an Accountant, within an independent agency environment; minimum three years experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Will need to have good math skills and be detail-oriented.
- You must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment.
