Commercial Lines Account Executive

This role will manage a generalist book of 20 Large Accounts and work with the Commercial Lines Department, including but not limited to:
- Primary point of contact for insureds on complex matters, pre-renewal meetings, renewal correspondence, and renewal presentations.
- Will need to have expertise on large, complex accounts. Book is heavy in workers’ comp, property, inland and ocean marine, cyber, business interruption, commercial auto. Financial lines also important but represent about 20% of what the agency does.
- Build and maintain relationships with carrier representatives, outside vendors, internal staff, clients, and other team members
- Provide support to Producers by marketing, preparing proposals, and giving presentations to new business.
- Delegate tasks to support team, stepping in when needed
- HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm or 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKSITE: Hybrid role; 1x/week in-office required (first month = 3x/week in office).
- TRAVEL = Some business travel required (generally Midwest or East Coast areas, short trips - often same-day return or one overnight stay. Assume 20-25% travel for this role.)
- PAY: $140,000 - $150,000 per year depending on experience.
- Bonus offered for assistance with BORs (Broker of Record) and upselling!

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of recent experience working as a Senior Account Manager or Executive on Commercial Insurance within an independent agency.
- Experience with large, complex accounts, minimum of $250,000 in annual premium!
- Experienced with preparing proposals, contract review, marketing, giving presentations, and negotiations with underwriting.
- Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, organized, have great time management and communication skills, confident in presenting to clients, and present a polished and professional demeanor to clients.

- Internal meetings are business casual (collared shirt); client meetings are business attire (suit jacket required).

- Proficiency with AMS 360 & Image Right preferred – will train.
- Intermediate - Advanced MS Office Suite required.
- Current IL P&C License.
