Job Description
Commercial Insurance Assistant needed for a well-established Insurance Agency located in Schaumburg, IL. This is a hybrid role with in office for training and team meetings thereafter.

We are seeking candidates with strong clerical experience who are willing to get their insurance licenses within 6 months of hire.
Here are the key details:
- HOURS: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (CST)
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKSITE: Onsite at the Schaumburg office during training, and hybrid once up and running.
- PAY: $24.25 - $28.50 per hour. depending on experience
- Salary review after licensed!
As a valued member of the team, this client offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/AD&D/LTD eligibility – employee with average work 30 or more hours per
week. On the 1st of the month after 1 full month of employment, you will be eligible for our insurance
program.4 medical options. - (1) PPO/HSA with Anthem Blue Cross and HSA with sterling HSA. $2,100 single/$4,200 family deductible. Employer annual contribution to HSA is $1,000 single/$2,000 family (pro-rated);
- (2) Medical PPO with $500 deductible $30/$60 office visit;
- (3) Medical PPO with $250 deductible $15/$30 office visit
- (4) Medical PPO /HSA with $6,700 deductible.
- Dental; Principal POS plan $2,000 max
- Vision: Principal VSP plan.
- Life/AD&D, Flat $20,000, Additional Life/AD&D options
- LTD: 60% up to $6000 monthly benefit / STD 60% ($1500), 25 weeks
- AFLAC: Cancer, Accident, Critical illness, Hospital, etc. (July open enrollment)
- 401k contribution eligibility after 60 days of employment, with employer matching after 12 months of employment. Matching is 100% to 3% and 50% to 5%.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Recent CSR or administrative experience within the insurance industry preferred. Open to candidates with 2+ years experience within an office environment caring for customer calls, data entry, billing, and other daily clerical duties.
- Professional demeanor, organized, motivated, positive, able to self-reflect and grow, works well in a team environment, and respectful of other cultures.
- Bilingual Japanese is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to obtain IL P&C Insurance Licenses within 6 months of hire
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Visa sponsorship is not available. W2 only
Duties:
Responsible for intake, issuance, and distribution of all certificates of insurance.
? Processes all policy change requests includes but is not limited to the following: endorsement changes, invoicing additional premiums, preparing check requests, mailing documents, etc.
? Works with Account Representatives, Account Managers, Account Executives, Client Executives, prepares annual and/or interim insurance policy audits, insurance applications.
? Works with Account Representatives, Account Managers, Account Executives, and Client executives to prepare client policy renewals and proposals.
? Under the direction of the Account Managers and Account Executives, assists with preparing broker of record letter, new account set-up, and competitive bids.
? Under the direction of the Account Managers and Account Executives, assists with billing of premiums associated with policy transactions.
? Inputs and maintains record of all activities in AMS 360 and ImageRight.
? Participates in seminars and educational classes for development of skills and knowledge.
? Provides high quality of work with professional demeanor and technical accuracy.
? Performs miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned.
