Commercial Insurance Account Manager needed for an Insurance Agency located in CA. Hybrid OR Remote!

**The Account Manager must have experience working with “Entertainment” risks.**

•    HOURS:  Full time hours; 8am-5pm or 7:30am – 4:30pm or 8:30am – 5:30pm
•    WORKSITE:  Hybrid is preferred  (will need to be in office 1 or 2 days a week). 

- Can work out of the Aliso Viejo, Pasadena, Santa Barbara, Ontario or San Diego office.
- FULL REMOTE: the qualified AM must reside in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Utah or Washington (must be willing to work Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm PST). Must hold an active CA P&C license. 
•    DURATION:  Direct Hire 
•    PAY:  $85,000 - $95,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:
The Account Manager will be working with an Entertainment book of business working with 2 producers.
The book is currently growing and will end up being about $500,000 in revenue, 75 clients with about 300 policies. 
There are large accounts and small accounts, when you work with business managers you try to place whatever risks you can for them.  
• Assists in directing day-to-day activities and workflow that are performed on assigned book of business by administrative and customer service team members, which include delegation and prioritization of assignment/task, communication on performance expectations, and monitoring execution to ensure performance requirements and timelines are met.
• Management and execution of a variety of customer service and value-added service requests/inquiries including but not limited to: account activity; policy administration and insurance placement; billing activity; claims administration; coverage/loss analysis; contract review for insurability; review policy forms and endorsements; review audits; identify errors and facilitate corrective actions; Certificates of Insurance; Evidences of Property; and Cancellation/Reinstatements.
• Manages policy expirations for existing clients and works proactively to ensure appropriate actions are taken to facilitate renewals and ensures all new and renewal insurance policies are bound, billed and issued accurately and delivered to the Client/Insured within required timeframe.
• Manages new business and policy renewal process in conjunction with AE and/or Producer, including but not limited to:
                -Conducting client research and gathering complete underwriting information.
                -Conducting Loss Run Analysis.
                -Preparing complete and accurate submissions including Acord applications and/or supplemental forms; sending out to market and/or performing Online Rating as required.
                -Evaluating and negotiating coverages and pricing .
                -Preparing and presenting Proposals.
                -Binding coverage and complying with any subjectivity(ies) as required by carrier, Surplus Lines Association and/or the agency.
                -Preparing and executing Premium Finance Agreements, when applicable.
                -Diligent follow up for Policy Issuance.
                -Review all policies, identifying and notifying AE or Producer of any discrepancies and ensuring that all necessary changes are submitted to and issued by the carrier.
                -Maintaining accurate and complete policy transaction detail, schedules and Summaries of Insurance.
• Monitors Accounts Receivables reports and takes action on any delinquent accounts along with collecting outstanding balances due.
• Maintains agency management system, other agency supported systems and carrier/vendor online platforms, ensuring all data entered is complete, clearly presented and well-documented, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Monitors and maintains activity/suspense, taking necessary action to ensure completion within required time frame.



NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Back-up for teammates as needed, covering for others in their absence and ensuring overall team service excellence.
• Ensures professional skills are continuously improved by actively participating in internal/external development opportunities.
• Participates in training, mentoring, and ongoing professional development of account team and/or new hire.
• Lifting and carrying large equipment/boxes over 5 lbs.
• Bending and stooping to utilize necessary office equipment.
• Participation in team building and other activities.
   
Requirements:
• Recent Independent Agency experience, minimum 5 years’, recently working as a Commercial AM.  
• Active CA P&C License.
• Applied EPIC is mandatory.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

• Outstanding verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to perform large work volumes with high degrees of accuracy and attention to detail.
• PC proficiency, including basic knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Likes to work in a team environment.
• Self-motivated – in charge of managing desk w/out supervision.
