Life / Health Insurance CSR, Bilingual!
Job Description
- HOURS: Full time hours, 9 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Saturday
- 5 day work schedule to be discussed
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKPLACE: In-office only.
- PAY: $40k - $50k per year, depending on experience.
- To qualify for $45k - $50k, the qualified candidate must have a minimum one year recent experience working as a CSR in the Life and Health field and also hold an active CA Life/Health license.
- Assist customers calling in with questions, etc. Utilizing benefit summaries and other materials, answer member questions at open Enrollment or throughout the year.
- Assist with issues and provide best resolution.
- Offer excellent customer service at all times and commitments made to the customer.
- File and maintain data organization and accuracy in all company system.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience recently working as a CSR, or Admin, in the Life / Health field, working with individual insurance products.
- If you do not have this experience, but have a strong Administrative background and would like to learn, the agency will consider training for the role.
- Must be Bilingual in Mandarin OR Cantonese OR Spanish.
- Life/Health license (desired – not required, but must be able to obtain within 3 months of hire date).
- Will need to have clear communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Legal residents of one of the following states: CA. Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.

Currently, Sharlene works as the Director of Recruiting / Sr. Account Manager. She evaluates applicants on their skills, education, work history, personality and salary requirements. She also works with clients to assist them in their search for applicants that have the experience and skills they are seeking for their office. Sharlene is also a mentor and assists the team with training and answering any questions about staffing or office procedures. She is an active member of Professional Women in Insurance, California Staffing Professionals and the American Staffing Association. She is trained in CA Employment and Sexual Harassment Law (FMLA, Meal & Rest Periods, Exempt & Non-Exempt Employees, etc.).
Sharlene was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She enjoys traveling as well as spending time with her husband, their two Labs, family and friends.
