Job Description

Personal Insurance Account Manager needed for a dedicated independent agency in San Diego!

This agency places a strong focus on client care and education, as well as employee growth! They’re looking to add an experienced Account Manager to their team to assist in managing their book made up of California clients, so current California Insurance Market experience and knowledge is a must!


 
  • HOURS:  Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:30AM-5:00PM with 1-hour non-paid lunch break
  • WORKSITE: Due to client meetings, this is a full time in office role in San Diego.
  • DURATION:  Direct Hire
  • PAY:  $52,000 - $72,800 per year, depending on experience.
    • For $60,000+ must have 4+ years of independent agency or experience brokering out to multiple insurance carriers.
  • BENEFITS:  This client offers a full comprehensive benefits package to include medical, dental, life insurance, 401K, PTO, and telecommuting options

While the day-to-day in this role can vary, typical tasks include and are not limited to:
  • Policy changes, EOIs, Billing, NOC meetings, and other daily needs of the insureds
  • Negotiating with underwriting
  • Preparing and presenting new and renewal business quotes
  • Answering questions from insureds’ about their policies and current insurance market
  • Collaborating with the department and Producers on complex accounts within the ever-changing CA Insurance Market

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
  • Ability to work full time in office, Monday-Friday
  • Minimum of 3 years’ current experience managing Personal Lines insurance accounts.
  • Independent agency experience is preferred, but this client is open to candidates with Direct Writer experience that have brokered out to other carriers at the lower end of the pay range.
  • Active CA P&C Licenses
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Intermediate - Advanced skill level for Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Applied Epic is preferred!
