Personal Lines Manager needed for an employee focused Insurance Agency located in San Luis Obispo, CA!
The Personal Lines Manager will join a dedicated agency that is focused on client care and employee growth! This agency invests in their employee’s future, and promotes from within, so if this is something you also value, this is the agency for you! In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the Personal Lines clients' peace of mind, and acting as a resource for the dedicated department team. From managing homeowners' insurance to crafting tailored auto coverage, you'll be the go-to expert providing exceptional service, including, but not limited to:
  • Providing advice
  • Processing policy changes
  • Remarketing policies, and writing new policies as needed for an existing client
  • Policy checking
  • Training new hires, and continually providing support to the Personal Lines team to ensure they're up to date on the current insurance market
  • Delegate tasks to team, provide constructive feedback, and mentorship as needed
  • Generating new business through networking, cross selling, and referrals
  • Maintain professional working relationships with insurance carriers, clients and their representatives, and other departments/personnel within the agency

HOURS:  Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • DURATION:  Direct Hire
  • PAY:  $85,000 - $100,000 (Depending on experience)
    • For $95,000+, MUST have High-Net-Worth ($50K Prem+) experience and proven leadership skills
  • WORKSITE: Onsite or Hybrid in San Luis Obispo, CA
  • BENEFITS:  This client pays 100% Life & Vision, and contribution towards Medical
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
  • 7+ years of recent California Personal Lines Insurance experience, with independent agency being preferred! Will consider candidates within a direct writer who were able to broker out to various carriers and E&S markets
  • 3+ years High Net Worth clientele experience is highly preferred and required for the higher end of the salary.
  • MUST have 2+ years of proven leadership skills, caring for training, providing advice on placing challenging accounts, negotiating with underwriting, and taking escalated calls
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • An Active CA P&C License
  • Strong customer service and sales skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills, and computer proficiency
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, make sound judgments, and pay attention to detail
