Personal Lines Insurance Sales Representative / AE needed for an Insurance Agency loc
Job Description
- In this role, the Sales Representative / AE will have immediate access to 50+ direct carrier relationships on day one!
- This agency has a dedicated service department to manage existing policyholders. This ensures the Sales Rep / AE can stay focused on marketing and driving new sales, and not bogged down by day-to-day servicing.
- HOURS: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKPLACE: This is an in-office position to start. Open to discussing a Hybrid schedule after training and up and running.
- Once a week, or every other week, may be in the field visiting prospects face to face.
- There will be a one-week training requirement in Texas – corporate office. (Flights and Hotels covered).
- PAY: $48,000 non-recoverable draw + uncapped tiered commissions (new business and renewals) + production bonus’s.
- Commission Percentages are calculated against the Gross Total Commission paid by carriers to the Agency.
- As the Sales Rep / AE builds their book, the commission structure also increases.
- To start = 60% NB / 10% Renewals
- At 250 PIF = 65% NB / 15% Renewals
- At 1,000 PIF – 70% NB / 20% Renewals

- BENEFITS: At this time, Medical benefits are not offered, but this is something that is being looked into.
- 15 days PTO offered on an accrual basis.
- Sick Leave; 40 hours (5 days) offered on an accrual basis.
- Holiday Pay is offered for 8 holidays.
Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Field and execute high-intent client leads handed off directly via live telephone transfers or email from active real estate and mortgage partners.
• Maintain communication standards with existing mortgage loan officers and real estate brokers to keep the agency top-of-mind for their daily transactions.
• Execute structured check-in cadences with referrals to ensure their team has seamless, automated pathways to drop quote sheets directly into the agency’s team inbox.
• Promptly triage and convert warm client files transferred directly from captive agency partners who are pulling back from specific California risk zones.
• Conduct thorough financial and risk-exposure diagnostic assessments for prospective policyholders.
• Complex Placements: Structure admitted, excess & surplus (E&S;), and California FAIR Plan/DIC strategies for complex or brush risks.
• Navigate technical underwriting standards across a platform of dozens of national and regional carriers.
• Maximize household revenue by effectively bundling auto, primary residential, landlord, and umbrella lines.
• Maintain a rapid "Evidence of Insurance (EOI) within hours" Service Level Agreement (SLA) to facilitate on-time property closings.
• Manage data input, pipeline tracking, and file updates within the automated CRM platform.
• Satisfy carrier technical audit requirements by systematically capturing and logging all required trailing files.
• Conduct proactive 90-day renewal pricing reviews to insulate the personal book from market churn.
Requirements:
- Must want to be in an Insurance Sales / AE role and eager to grow a book of business!
- If you hold an active California Property and Casualty license, that is a plus!
- If you do not currently hold a Property & Casualty (P&C) license, the client covers one-time study materials and testing registration fees. During the licensing process, your employment will be contingent upon successfully passing the California P&C examination.
- Please note that base salary/draw compensation does not commence until licensure is fully obtained and active onboarding begins. No salary is paid during the pre-employment study period.
- If you do not currently hold a Property & Casualty (P&C) license, the client covers one-time study materials and testing registration fees. During the licensing process, your employment will be contingent upon successfully passing the California P&C examination.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- A minimum of 1–3 years of high-performance sales, financial advisory, hospitality operations, real estate processing, or executive recruitment experience is preferred.
- Must maintain an active California driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to execute local relationship marketing and branch visits.
- Native or professional conversational fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Mandarin, or Cantonese is not mandatory but represents a massive strategic advantage in the California marketplace.
- Strong financial and business acumen, relentless phone/field endurance, high personal accountability, and complete comfort operating in a metrics-driven sales meritocracy.
