Personal Lines Underwriting Assistant - REMOTE!
Job Description
As the Underwriting Assistant (UA), you will be joining a leading Wholesale Brokerage where you will care for the day-to-day servicing of Personal Lines accounts and be partnered with a Broker who cares about the growth and success of their team.
This UA will partner with the Broker on a large book of business.
- HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (PST)
- 37.5 hour work week.
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- PAY: $50,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
- WORKSITE: This is a remote role, but MUST be willing to work Pacific Standard Time hours.

As the UA, you will work to care for the day-to-day servicing including, but not limited to:
- Processing endorsements, binders, and assisting with inspections.
- Caring for servicing and marketing of lines including GL, Property, Homeowners, etc.
- Will service the agents with questions and things such as evidence of insurance requests.
- Processing binders.
- Policy issuance.
- Obtaining additional information needed for quoting.
- New & renewal marketing for quotes.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of current experience working in Personal Lines. Wholesale Agency preferred.
- Surplus Lines experience is a must!
- An Active California P&C License is required. If living in another state the candidate MUST obtain non-resident license.
- AIM and ImageRight software experience are a plus!
- Strong Customer Service Skills.
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Must have excellent knowledge of insurance principles and coverages.
- Strong computer skills.
