Our client is a large Public Adjusting Firm and they are looking for a Property Adjuster to work in their Newport Beach office.
They have a great reputation in the Industry and are known for their Customer Service.  
 
  • HOURS:  Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM
  • DURATION:  Direct Hire
  • WORKPLACE:  This is an in-office position, but travel is involved as part of the job.
  • PAY:  $85,000 - $100,00 per year, depending on experience.
    • Potential to earn commissions and bonus to possibly earn $150k - $300k per year.  
    • Car and phone allowance.

Job Duties will include, but are not limited to:
The PA is a professional claims handler who advocates for the policyholder in appraising and negotiating a claimant's insurance claim throughout the claim process.
The PA works well in a rapid paced environment!
Case load on average is 20 – 30.
70% travel.
  1. No sales is required for this role, but public adjusters must assist sales team in a limited capacity to qualify leads. The public adjuster will be “on-call” at least one day per work where they are expected to respond to inquiries from the sales team advise on whether a claim should be signed or not based on the facts they are presented.
  2. Promptly handle assigned claims that are assigned, putting relationships first and creating a positive client experience.
  3. Manage claims load and resolution of claims through completion in a timely manner.
  4. Inspecting, measuring, presenting, and advocating a claim from beginning to end.
  5. Effectively and efficiently in coordination with the Claims Director utilize support team, legal, engineering and leadership where needed to resolve claims and maximum value for our clients.
  6. Effectively and efficiently utilize all claims related management / support systems and tools.
  7. Evaluate existing insurance policies to determine what coverage may be applicable to a claim.
  8. Thoroughly investigate the assigned claim and prepare and present a strong claim presentation on behalf of clients to negotiate a settlement with the insurance company on behalf of an insured.
  9. Prepare detailed scope and cost estimates utilizing experts as required for effective substantiated claim presentation.
  10. Properly document the claim files pursuant.
  11. Participate in networking and marketing events as required.


Requirements:
- Minimum five years’ experience in property and casualty claims processing (Commercial and Personal lines)
- Must know Xactimate; intermediate to advanced level.
- Ability to obtain proper licensing as required (Adjusters license).
- Understanding of the insurance Industry standards, policies applicable laws and regulations.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Familiarity with claims management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and proactive in identifying issues and proposing actionable solutions.
