Vice President of Carrier Partnerships - Must Live in California
Job Description
Our client is searching for a Vice President of Carrier Partnership. To succeed in this role, the candidate should be an excellent listener and communicator, with the ability to work with company marketing representatives/underwriting, and be passionate to help others. The primary objective of the role is to maintain and build strong relationships with insurance carriers, partner on contract negotiation, proactively manage carrier issues, and ensure timely delivery of accurate carrier production results. Additional duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner with staff to ensure individual agency targets are met
- Develop and implement carrier goals
- Support agencies through consultation for hard-to-place risks, complex claims and coverage issues, escalating to carriers as needed
- Participate in launch of new carriers, educating staff on underwriting requirements

- HOURS: Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM
- DURATION: Direct Hire
- WORKSITE: Role will be remote with travel throughout California. Must live in California.
- PAY: $100,000 - $130,000/year, depending on experience

What You Need to Succeed:
- 10+ years of experience in Commercial Lines insurance within an insurance company or agency, working with multiple carriers, and a deep understanding of how agencies and carriers work together
- Experience leading projects with multiple departments and client stakeholders
- Proven strong relationship building skills
- Relationship management skills and the ability to make clear recommendations
- Excellent communication skills

- Teamwork, leadership, and influence skills
- Strong writing skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint & Excel
