We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is proactive in the market and understand how to go out and GET the talent that our client's need.  This is a full-time internal position in our San Diego office.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s recruiting functions. The role is primarily responsible, under general to intermittent supervision, for sourcing, recruiting, and screening applicants for a variety of positions within our divisions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will nurture relationships with prospective talent and manage on-going relationships, providing the talent necessary to make the company successful while ensuring positive candidate experience.  


This position is NOT handling the full life cycle of staffing and recruiting services. It is only handling screening and interviewing candidates and building up our pipeline of candidates. We will only consider candidates with some kind of recruitment or sales experience in the insurance or banking industry who want to start a recruiting career.  

This is a full-time, non-exempt internal position offering a competitive hourly wage, incentives & benefit package.

Job Duties

Manage niche job boards, career postings, internet employment resources, and cold calling to find talent for openings.
Use a variety of best recruiting practices to develop a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
Evaluate candidates through resume and phone screenings to present a highly qualified candidate pool to hiring managers.
Consult with internal account managers to identify expectations and qualifications desired.
Define and execute campaigns to engage candidates using a variety of different methods (ads, social media, job fairs, etc); accurately and effectively reflect the value proposition for each position and attract top talent.
Develop and manage strong relationships; act as a liaison with hiring managers and active/passive candidates in an effort to attract and hire the best talent.
Implement and monitor sourcing strategies, ensuring resources are devoted to the most effective sourcing methods.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to recruitment practices.
Ensure proper data entry and information integrity within the applicant tracking system.

Required Qualifications :


Must have 1 or more years of experience working in the insurance or recruiting industry

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required 

Significant relationship building experience and a capacity to build and maintain professional alliances.

Excellent verbal and communication skills required.

Ability to manage multiple priorities; strong detail orientation and highly organized.

Works with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.

Passionate about delivering excellence in customer service.

Demonstrated patience and professionalism when interacting with both internal and external customers.

Must be internet savvy and comfortable working in a paperless environment.

Proficiency with data entry, PDF software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
